History has been made
in IPL. Two super over in one match. This is totally unbelievable. Mohammad
Shami made it. Batted first Mumbai Indians scored 176/6 after 20-overs. The
same runs were scored by Kings Eleven Punjab.
In the first super
over Jasprit Bumrah restricted KXIP within 5-runs. He took 2 wickets also but
when Shami came to bowl he has to protect 6-runs only and Shami made it. In the
last ball following a run out MI also manage to score 5-runs. In the second
super over MI scored 11/1, in the last ball of the over Manaynk Agarwal save
six runs with outstanding effort. Chasing runs in the second super over KXIP
win the match with two balls in hand. Gayle set the momentum in the first ball
by hitting six. In the last two balls, two fours were smashed by Agarwal and
finally, the result comes out.
This is the third
super-over in super Sunday. In the first match today KKR beat SRH in
super-over.
After winning the toss
MI opted to bat first. Though Rohit Sharma (9) failed to score but de Kock (54)
controlled the innings. He got support from the lower middle order. Krunal
Pandya scored 34-runs. In the last four over Kieron Pollard and Nathan
Coulter-Nile change the momentum in favor of MI. Pollard played unbeaten 34 off
12 balls. While his partner Coulter-Nile scored 24 off 12. Mohammad Shami and
young pacer Arshdeep Singh took two wickets for Punjab.
Chasing the total
Kings Eleven Punjab lost an early wicket as Mayank Agarwal departs on 9-runs.
Chris Gayle played a handy inning of 24 runs. The same runs were scored by
another Caribbean Nicholas Pooran. KL Rahul scored 77-runs to save the match
for his team in 20 over. Apart from Rahul, Deepak Hooda (23) helped his team to
tie the match.
