Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat
Kohli was fined INR 12 Lakh for his team’s slow over-rate during the match
against Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021.
The statement was given by IPL said, “Royal
Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli has been fined after his the team
maintained a slow over-rate during their IPL 2021 match against Chennai Super
Kings at the Wankhede Stadium, Chennai on April 20.”
The statement also read, “As it was his team’s
first offense of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum
over-rate offenses, Mr. Kohli was fined Rs 12 lakh.”
Royal Challengers Bangalore failed to reach
the top spot after the loss against Chennai Super Kings. They are now in the
third position on the IPL 2021 table. They will play the next match against
Delhi Capitals on 27 April.
