Back to back defeat
for Chennai Super Kings raising questions on MS Dhoni’s captaincy. In the third
match of their campaign, CSK lost by 44 runs against Delhi Capitals.
As expected, after
winning the toss Dhoni sent DC to bat first. The Delhi took the opportunity
with both hands and scored a handsome total. After 20 overs DC’s score was
175/3. Youngster Prithvi Shaw saw played an outstanding inning of 64 runs.
Another opener Shikhar Dhawan scored 35. Rishab Pant was not out scoring 37
runs. Success bowler for CSK was experienced custodian Piyush Chawla (2/33).
In response of Delhi
Capital’s inning openers failed to give a good start to CSK. Murli Vijay (10)
and Shane Watson (14) both were unsuccessful in the chase. Inform batsman Faf
du Plessis (43) tried from his end along with Kedar Yadav (26). But that did
not work. Again MS Dhoni failed with the bat, he added only 15-runs.
Two ace pacer Kagiso
Rabada and Anrich Nortje are the two crucial architects behind this win. Rabada
took three important wickets and two wickets were taken by Nortje.
