Boosted from 9-wicket victory in their opening
Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match a confident Bengal side will be hoping to carry
on the winning momentum when they will lock horns with Jharkhand at Eden
Gardens tomorrow.
Bengal's three-legged pace attack led by Ishan Porel has once again
showed their domianance by scalping total 8 wickets in the
last match. While Ishan bagged 4 Akash Deep and Mukesh
Kumar picked up 2 wickets apiece and Bengal will depend
highly on them against Jharkhand who lost against Tamil Nadu in the last match.
Bengal skipper Anustup Majumder said: "Jharkhand lost last game
but they have quality players in their team, some olay IPL also. Ishan Kishan,
Varun Aron, Shahbaz Nadeem are there, it's a strong team. We'll give same
importance as last match, boys have given their hunded percent against Odisha
and will be doing the same. We will focus on following the process and execute
our plan."
Whether playing at Eden Gardens will give Bengal upper hand against
Jharkhan Anustup said: "We are not thinking much about that as the wicket
will be same for both the teams tomorrow. But yes we know that wicket, we have
played a whole tournament there recently, some players missed out though.
Saying all that, the main thing is to deliver our best at that moment."
On the other hand Rahul Shukla (2-27) and
Anukul Roy (1-32) were the only players to pick wickets
for Jharkhand and to turn the tables on Bengal Ishan Kishan's men will
definitely be desperate for veteran Varun Aron, Utkarsh Singh, Monu, Anand
Singh to fire.
Bengal batters looked in fluent form as Vivek Singh was seen his
natural form with an unbeaten 54 off 35
balls, Sreevats Goswami made 16-ball 25
while Suvankar Bal impressed in his debut with 23-ball 34.
For Jharkhand team batting in going to be another concern and they
would expect their top order to stay longer out there as their 6 batters
went back for a paltry 79 runs.
