I-League Qualifiers 2020, the first-ever
sporting event to be held in India during COVID from October 8 (Thursday) to
October 19 will be telecast live on 1Sport.
The Qualifiers have already generated much
interest amongst football fans all across the country and will see the 5
qualified teams — Mohammedan SC, Bhawanipore FC, FC Bengaluru United, ARA FC
and Garhwal FC – battling it out against each other for a coveted spot in the
I-League 2020-21.
All the matches would be played adhering to the
medical parameters laid down by the authorities of the two venues – the
Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata, and the Kalyani Municipal
Stadium in Kalyani, West Bengal. All the teams have been housed at a 5Star
Delux hotel adjacent to the VYBK, abiding by the protocol of the COVID bubble.
